n 1998, we bought a hilltop property with a spectacular view. There was a small, brick
barn in the middle of the vineyard, which we converted into a guest cottage. The barn's
exterior changed very little in the renovation, but inside, we built a completely new
vacation house; designed to be comfortable and easy to maintain. Plumbing, heating,
and electric systems are all modern. New roof is fully insulated and has skylight.
The house is located at the end of a private lane, inside a gated courtyard, in a green and private context.

The cottage is located on the borders of the Langhe and Monferrato regions of central Piemonte. It is at the highest, most panoramic point of a pretty castle village with Baroque churches, grocery, winery, butcher, bank, cafe and restaurants. Despite the private setting, it is a short walk to the center and to transport.

Ground level: (50sq.mt/465sq.ft) Entry and half bath, open floor plan, with bright kitchen, dining area and living room. Off the living room, a shady patio, off the kitchen, a sunny corner for morning coffee.

Upstairs: (50sq.mt/465sq.ft) Queen size bedroom, 2nd bedroom (twin beds) or as studio,
Full bath with walk-in shower. A panoramic balcony off both bedrooms catches the summer breeze.

handforged BBQ, table and and chairs. In the old vineyard, a super-panoramic pergola for hammocks, and sun lounges. The old vineyard is now a meadow--or paddock.

The house is furnished in a comfortable, classic style and is equipt with: kitchen
appliances (refrigerator, microwave, gas stove/electric oven), washer, central heat, wood stove, ceiling fans, TV with Astra English satellite, fixed phone line with ADSL Internet or Broadband is available.

The cottage has been 'temporary home' to many international guests over the past 10 years. It has a good name and web position as a rental property and could provide a personal vacation home in Italy, as well as income.
