It is a beautiful city on the Modego river, the University and Old town , in particular, with its narrow streets full of character.

We are about 40 minutes drive to the Atlantic coast and are situated between two rivers The Alva and The Mondego, so there are river beaches to walk or drive to. During the summer months you can hire canoes and go down the Mondego close to Coimbra.

Skiing is available in the Estrella's during the winter with natural snow when it arrives or on two artificial runs, Approximately one and a half hours drive.
