Our beautiful house is a wing of a 18 Century chateau situated between Granville and St Lo and within easy reach of sandy beaches and also Normandy beaches. Bayeux, Caen and Cherbourg are all just over an hour's drive.

The house is found at the end of a private drive shared with farmer, and overlooks a shared very large pond, stocked with fish, and to the right, seen from the house, is the lovely pigeonnaire and views of surrounding countryside.

Entering the property through double gates and driving down to the house beside a large lawned area, and to the right equally large barns with new roof which could be converted into dwellings for b and b or potential for workshops.

All rooms described in the house have beamed ceilings.

Coming through the oak front door is the entrance hall, leading to either kitchen breakfast room to the right or large lounge with cathedral ceiling to left. The lounge has a huge original stone fireplace with log burner. The mezzanine overlooks the lounge.

Through the lounge door and into the dining room which overlooks the front garden, easily sits 12 people, with hand carved fire place and log burner. Double doors lead to bedroom 4, with double doors out to rear garden.

Exit through bedroom 4 into small hall way leading to kitchen breakfast room. In between is downstairs shower room / utility room.

Bedroom 2 and 3 are next to each other and also overlook the rear garden.

At the end of the upstairs hallway is the door to the mezzanine area which would be ideal for study / computer / library with windows overlooking the front of the property.

In the hallway is ample room for staircase up into loft area, which can be converted into two large ensuite bedrooms, then making a house a 6 bedroom house if required. The loft is partly boarded and has windows overlooking the front with pond and pigeonnaire.

There is a large barn accompanied by other barns, one of which was previously used as a workshop and a double garage and has double glazed units with secure frontage, the other barns have been used for log storage and also wine storage but could have many uses. All the barns are made of stone with slate roofing.

With schools nearby and lovely neighbours, we looked at so many properties but this house ticked all our boxes, and we fell in love with it. The home is a beautiful property with many charming original features.
